Selling shares
If you are selling shares you hold, you will need to determine if they are CHESS sponsored with CommSec or held with the share registry. If your shares are sponsored with CommSec you can view them in Portfolio > *Select account* > Holdings under the CHESS heading.

If you are CHESS sponsored with CommSec and have have Issuer Sponsored shares that are held with the share registry, you'll need to transfer them to your CommSec Share trading account before you can sell them.

Here's more information on How to transfer shares from the share registry over to CommSec. If your shares are held with another broker, you can transfer your shares over to CommSec by completing a broker-to-broker request. For more information, click here.
