What are the security features on the website?

When you login with your Client ID you will have access to a range of security features on the website. All your account security details, including your login and trading passwords, can be managed by logging into your account and navigating to Support > Service Centre > Security & Passwords.

Security features include:

  • Your login password, which you enter with your unique Client ID to access all your linked accounts on the website.
  • SMS security, which allows you to receive a unique PIN code via your mobile phone when you perform a task on the website that requires additional client verification. For some transactions, such as transfers over a certain amount, SMS security is mandatory. SMS security is an alternative method of verification to Secret Questions (see below).
  • Secret questions, which are additional security questions that you will be required to answer if you wish to perform a task on the website which requires additional client verification, such as viewing personal information stored on the account. You may also be asked to provide answers to your secret questions as identification for telephone requests. Please note that you can only set up your questions online, not over the phone.
  • Your trading password, which is an optional password. If you set it up and activate it, your trading password will be required whenever you place an order online. It can be turned off or on any time via our Service Centre.
  • A phone PIN, which you use to verify yourself over the phone, along with your unique Client ID.
