How do I place an international trade?

To place a trade on your International Shares Account, follow the steps below:

  • Log into your CommSec account or mobile app
  • Navigate to Portfolio to launch your International Shares Account
  • Once the platform has launched, navigate to Trade > Order Ticket
  • Enter your trade details and click Preview
  • Confirm the order details are correct
  • Select Transmit Order
Before you start trading internationally:

You should only place the trade once you have the relevant funds available in your International Shares Account in Australian Dollars or, the relevant foreign currency if you have switched to an International Shares Plus Account.

Need to check your balance?

To check your account balances, follow your steps below:

  • Log into CommSec
  • Navigate to Portfolio
  • Select International, then Launch Platform
  • Click on Portfolio, then Cash Report
